We all know the signs – a heavy heart and a restless mind. Sleepless nights and joyless days, stress and burnout. Bingeing on whatever dulls the pain. It’s not working. But there’s a way that works. Therapy and Personal Coaching work and you are ready.
My clients and I work together like a basketball team moving the ball down the court. We pass the ball back and forth, clarifying your vision, nourishing your strengths, restoring your confidence and motivation until you’re ready to take the shot.
Therapy can help. Getting back on track might seem overwhelming. But it’s simple. Not effortless, but simple. Therapy can help you reconcile your past, make good decisions for your future, identify your pivot points, anticipate the challenges and find a work around.
My approach is deeply collaborative, integrative, intuitive and research-based. I’m strongly influenced by DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The integration of these evidence-based treatments and a strong, working therapeutic alliance make these tecniques come to life. Therapy does work. You and I will customize a therapy that works for you.
My special passion is weaving clients’ religious traditions and personal spirituality into evidence-based therapies. I also specialize in helping folks manage chronic illness and navigate the changes and challenges we face as we age. I work collaboratively with physicians, health care teams, community supports, families and individual clients to enrich quality of life and improve medical outcomes.
For almost 20 I’ve helped folks navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, frustration, disappointment, medical problems, substance use, aging, disability. I’ve also helped enhance creativity, a sense of purpose and clarified spiritual direction.
